  • The location for the forum most likely to be Blue Ridge College; September 14th
  • Committee Reports;  Parade, Forum, Spiritual & Mental Health, Education & Employment, Homeless & Housing, Resources, Justice & Legal, Transportation

 

New Business:

  • First results of the Needs Survey 2019;
  • Need two more Communication Liaisons and Secretary

Four State CVEB Meeting Minutes

May 31, 2019

10:30 – 12:30

Hospice of the Panhandle

 

The meeting was called to order at 10:45 am by Sgt At Arms J. Holliday. Pledge of Alliance and Moment of Silence was conducted and Observed.  

 

Attendees:

 

President -Simone Hawthrone

Vice President- Chris Basch

1st Communication Officer Dave Ranck

2nd Communication officer – vacant

3rd Communication officer – vacant

Secretary- Absent

Sgt. At Arms – Joe Holliday

Board members and Officers were in attendance -see  Attendance Sheet

Special Guest – Dr. Lynda C. Davis, National Chief Veteran Experience Officer of the VA

Tim Cook – Director of Martinsburg VAMC

Veteran Experience Office – Laureen Barone

Introduction of Dr. Davis by Laureen Barone

Dr. Davis presented the Veteran Friendly Community Certificate signed by of Secretary of Veteran Affairs Robert Wilkie to the Four State Community Engagement Board

Committee Reports:

Education Report –

Congressional update – Kathleen Stottler

Parade Report – Bill and Jocelyn provided an update on the parade and fundraising. Next Fundraisers on June 9, 2019, by the American Legion new location

 

Dave presented an update on the Open Forum- Proposed BlueRidge CTC in 9/19 no set date as of yet.

Update: Saturday, Sept 14th will be the date of the Forum
